Brently “Brent” Alan Barbee, 53, of Riley, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly early Tuesday October 3, 2017. He was born November 4, 1963 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Edgar and Phyllis Barbee. Brent was a passionate man who enjoyed helping others. He was a man of many skills, and took pride in his projects and inventions. He was a loving man who cherished his daughter and grandchildren and took great pride in being a ‘Pa’
He is survived by his daughter, Christine Jeffery, and her husband Dale, sisters; Pam Austin and her husband Rev. Ray Austin, and Cheryl Galloway and her husband Jim, a brother, Eddie Barbee and his wife Lisa, grandchildren Cullen Jeffery and Lincoln Jeffery, along with several nieces and nephews. Services for Brent will be on Monday October 9, 2017 at 12 noon in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana 47804. Visitation will be from 11 am until service time at the funeral home. Rev. Ray Austin will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. A celebration of life meal will take place following services and the cemetery at the Free Life Community Church, 1620 South 20th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47803.
