Thelma M "Dolly" Sherfey (Rodgers)
Thelma Rodgers Sherfey, 94, of Terre Haute, passed away October 4, 2017 in Meadows Manor North at 4:20 pm. She was born December 11, 1922 to Alvin and Cora Cook Rodgers in Savage, Montana. To her birth family and in-laws she was known as Dolly. She graduated from Custer County High School in Miles City, Montana in May of 1940. She retired from the Westin Paper Company as a payroll clerk.
She is preceded in death by her parents, daughters; Nancy L Edwards Westgate and Carol M Edwards Kattner brothers; Elmer Rodgers, Edgar Rodgers, and Roy Rodgers, sisters; Maudie Rodgers Gallup, Delphone Rodgers Hohl, and Marguerite Rodgers Johnson, and a grandson, Forest Anthony Smith
She is survived by a sister, Delores Rodgers Walker, grandchildren; Jennifer Lariviere, Timothy Westgate, Anne Westgate, Greta Cherry, and Jill Wilson, great grandchildren; Nena Putnam, Madeline Lariviere, Robert Lariviere, Ashley Montano, Ashley Cherry, Ivan Cherry, Liam Cherry, Megan DeHaven, Rachel Wilson, Nathanael Wilson, and Gabrielle Wilson, great-great grandchildren; Jonathan Perez, Savannah Montano, Beau Gallindo, and Juri Putnam.
Services are scheduled for Tuesday October 10, 2017 at 12 pm in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47804. Visitation is scheduled from 11am to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Online condolences can be made at www.greinerfuneralhome.com
