Darrell Wayne Dierdorf

Darrell Wayne Dierdorf 71 years old passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024. Darrell was born December 12, 1952 the son of Herbert, Richard Dierdorf and Rosemary Cox Dierdorf. He attended Gerstmeyer High School and he was baptized on January 3, 2007 at True Gospel Tabernacle apostolic Church. Darrell lived his life the symbol of an angel. He loved everyone and everyone loved Darrell. In his earlier days, Darrell spent his time in school. After that Darrell spent many years struggling with mental illness, but he didn’t give up. He lived his life for everyone; family was everything to him. He was our rock and our protector. He gave love and made friends through every stage of his life. He was a hard worker; he loved landscaping work. He spent so many years cutting grass for everyone. Lots of times for pennies on the dollar but he was so proud and enjoyed getting out riding his bike and walking in his later years. Darrell enjoyed money and scratch off lottery tickets. He was a very lucky man always winning, always blessed, always giving. Darrell is survived by his family and friends. Brother and sisters, Kevin Lee Deardorff (Sherry), Diantha Sue Boyd, Elizabeth Jean Cottrell, Sherry Jo Forrester (Companion Willie Eggers), Julia Lynn Hutchinson (Hutch), Sister at heart, Tina Haynes, like father Leonard Forrester Jr. Nephews and nieces, Rosemary Mills, Traci Tanksley (Thomas), Jacquelyn Boyd, Billy Eggers (Rene), Kelly Jo Eggers (Matt), Julius Hutchinson, Cherish Hutchinson (Jermaine), Mariah Hutchinson (Brian). Great nephews and nieces, Carter Eggers, Adalyn Rose Eggers, Arieanna Hutchinson, Xavier Hutchinson, Jaden Hutchinson, Cameron Hutchinson, Jermaine Minor Junior, Sharyce Spencer, Demetrius Vinson, Ayanna Petway. Special aunt Ozella Sweat, several cousins and family in Alabama and Indiana, and a world of friends. Darrell was proceeded in death by his parents, stepdad Avan Joseph, brother Kenny Dierdorf, nephew Kevin Lee Dierdorf Jr., brother-in-law Glenn Cottrell, special aunt Joanne DeLong, several aunts and uncles and friends. Darrell Wayne, the son, the brother, the uncle, the nephew, the friend, the protector, the hero. Our superhero, our angel. Always loved and always missed. Fly high our Superman. 

Funeral service will be at Greiner Funeral Home. Visitation is Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 12:00pm, with the funeral services starting at 1:00pm and burial at Grandview Cemetery.
