Jerry Dee Hill, 87, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away on February 28, 2024. Born on
November 21, 1936, in Lebanon, Indiana, to Paul Hill and Agnes Sharpe Hill.
A jewelry legend with over 60 years of experience, Jerry's impressive work ethic and
passion for his craft made him a standout in the industry. Known for his sharp dressing
and positive outlook, he was not just a colleague but a friend to everyone he met. He
had a remarkable memory, and could not only remember the special piece he sold
someone, but also their name.
Jerry's commitment to excellence extended beyond his professional life. A dedicated
and hardworking individual, he embraced life's challenges with a positive attitude,
always maintaining a friendly demeanor. His charisma and sociable nature meant he
never knew a stranger.
In addition to his professional success, Jerry found joy in simple pleasures. An
impeccable dresser, his love for driving and penchant for self-improvement through
listening to motivational speakers showcased his vibrant and dynamic personality.
Survived by his children Jeffrey Hill, Kerry Hill (Dana) Trudi Fenzel, and Tricia
Stephenson (Mark); grandchildren Jennifer Nacke, Dustin Hill (Ashley), Bridget Hill,
Jacqueline Bacon (Kevin), Samantha Fenzel, Isabella Fenzel, Joseph Fenzel, Lauren
Stephenson, Caitlin Stephenson, and Tatum Stephenson; great-grandchildren Zayden,
Kendrick, Craig, Zadrian, and Brooks; former son-in-law Jim Fenzel; his companion Linda
Parr, and the mother of his children, Mary Jo Carland.
Preceded in death by his parents; siblings Jimmy Hill and Larry Hill; grandson Craig
Arthur Hill, and great-granddaughter Landrei Michelle Nacke.
The family is grateful to the Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care, and Hospice of the
Wabash Valley for their loving and compassionate care of our father.
A celebration of Jerry's life will be held at the Sycamore Country Club, 200 Heritage
Drive - Terre Haute, IN on March 6th, 2024 from 2-4pm.
Jerry is now soaring with the majestic eagles that he truly loved. He has risen above the
storm.
